Nike invited me to create my own imaginary sports team for a signature apparel collection.
I named my team after where I lived at the time. Streatham in South London is elevated tongue-in-cheek by the locals to St. Reatham, but it’s an area historically troubled by knife crime. I created the St. Reatham Souls as a combination of this, with the Souls being in memory of those who lost their lives to violence. The colour palette references the grey London skies and the blue of the Metropolitan Police force trying to tackle the issues.
